Jim Gilbride has nearly 20 years of experience in the event and media industries. As Group Publisher of GEE Media’s Cannabis Media Group, Jim oversaw the acquisition of the Cannabis Business Times website in 2015, followed by the launch of a print magazine that same year. CBT won Magazine of the Year 2018 from the Business Publishing Editors’ Association. Jim oversaw the 2017 launch of the group’s industry-leading event, the Cannabis Conference, which is held annually in Las Vegas and now brings together more than 3,000 professionals and entrepreneurs. around the business.

Noel Skodzinski

Noel Skodzinski has over two decades of experience in the publishing industry. In the year In 2014, she co-founded the Cannabis Business Times with former owner Tim Hermes. She was named one of the 50 Most Influential Women in Cannabis. In the year In 2012, she founded MediaShepherd–a website providing practical information for media professionals–and served as President and Editorial Director. Prior to that, she was Editorial Director of the Publishing Group at North American Publishing. In that role, she served as publishing executive and director of the book business magazine, all related digital products, including the Daily News, and the annual. Print trade conferences, print trade virtual conferences and all webinars. Skodzinski was previously editor of The Crafts Report magazine, managing editor of Inside Direct Mail, senior writer for Target Marketing, interim managing editor of The Jewish Exponent, among other posts. Michelle Simakis has been with GIE Media since 2012 and became editor of Garden Center Magazine in 2015. Under her leadership, that magazine has become the leading trade publication serving independent garden centers. Most recently, she launched an engaging, must-read newsletter and organized an educational conference for key decision makers with the help of an advisory board comprised of the industry’s most influential leaders. That experience and knowledge guides her leadership at Cannabis Business Times and Cannabis Dispensary.

Tony Lange joined GIE Media in January 2021 as Associate Editor of Cannabis Business Times, Cannabis Dispenser and Hemp Grower. He spent the last decade working in the weekly newspaper business, primarily for the Chagrin Valley Times as a beat reporter, sports editor, photographer and page designer. Before that, he was a congressman’s staff assistant in the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC, preparing responses to constituent letters and assisting the communications director. Lang is a graduate of Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.

Scott Anthony joined GIE Media in 2013 as a regional account manager for the decorative group, which includes Children’s Management, Greenhouse Management, Produce Growers and Garden Center magazines. In the year In 2014, he was promoted to Account Manager for Children’s Management Magazine, where he was responsible for driving sales and increasing market share for the industry-leading brand. In May 2015, Scott was promoted to Account Manager of the newly acquired Cannabis Business Times brand and has been instrumental in CBT’s rapid growth, including the launch of CBT’s print magazine.
