For local and highly aspirational designs – ‘African Intelligence 6’ (Ai6) has released an ongoing collection co-designed by independent artist and Sprayground’s VP and Content Creative Director, Sandflower. The concept and name of this collection was directed by Ashwa Ababa based on her personal life experiences.
This collection of bags that defies definition is inspired by the creativity and vibrant brilliance of the African diaspora in true New York fashion with true sprayground fashion. For this launch, she enlisted supermodels from Jamaica and Ghana to be the face of the campaign with Sand Flower. Shannon Hamilton, Amanda Thomas and Gershona Annor, who embody the energy and spirit of the set, really helped bring it to life.
The Ai6 collection offers beautiful fabrics, eclectic prints and high energy with bright colors and modern patterns in beautiful bags that serve as a symbol of Afro-Future fashion. The concept offers three designs, including a black jewel design
A capsule collection, consisting of six items: backpack, cross body, duffel bag, large sling bag, backpack and backpack. The desired set includes two single designs; Featuring an eye-catching lion print, the Ai collection is known for its vibrant purples, reds and yellows for a colorful inspiration of authentic African culture, as well as a stylish denim design, showcasing Spreygraw’s iconic piece of collection art. Sprayground first caught the world’s attention when the ‘Hello My Name’ bag was launched 10 years ago. Sprayground founder David Bendavid (DBD) had high hopes to create a brand that represented his childhood and upbringing. Exposed to streetwear, art and different cultures since childhood, DBD has taken all this inspiration and turned it into a creation that is now internationally acclaimed.
Along with DBD, Sandflower was released in 2010. Having made waves with the Ai collection since its launch in 2019, now in its 6th series, this collection has proven to be one of Sprayground’s most popular capsules to date.
The Ai6 collection will be available online at www.sprayground.com and select boutiques nationwide on July 26, 2022.
