Cleveland, OH – Last week, Friday, May 19, and Saturday, May 20, 2023; Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzmán.of US Small Business Administration (SBA), joined U.S. Rep. Shontell Brown (OH-11) in Cleveland to meet with local leaders and small business owners. Administrator Guzman and Representative Brown highlighted how President Biden’s Invest in America agenda has led to historic small business growth, and discussed how SBA and Congress will continue to work together to expand resources and opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs in all communities.

“With nearly 12 million new small business applications filed during the Biden-Harris administration, Americans are following their entrepreneurial dreams and taking advantage of the opportunities created by our nation’s historic economic recovery and the President’s investment in America, generating billions in business.   • Governor Guzman and Representative Brown then participated Meet and greet at Urban Kutz Barbershop. This discussion features Mayor Justin Bibb and local entrepreneurs discussing some of the most pressing issues facing Cleveland’s small business owners.

  • Finally, Governor Guzman and Representative Brown met with Leticia Ortiz, THe owns the La Bamba team.to discuss the successes and challenges of being a small business owner, specifically a local food distributor that provides fresh, high-quality tortillas to Ohio restaurants.

on Saturday:

  • Administrator Guzman joined Representative Brown for the latter. Small Business Fair at Cuyahoga Community College, an event designed to connect attendees with critical resources to help them start, grow and grow their businesses.
