U.S. Senator Mazie K. Hirono and Sherry Menor-McNamara, president and CEO of the Hawaii Chamber of Commerce, will visit three Hawaii businesses participating in the Hawaii on the Hill event Monday in Washington, DC.
After a three-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, US Senator Mazie Hirono, Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii and State Honorary Chair, Hawaii Senate President Ron Cucci will host the 7th annual Hawaii on the Hill event in Hawaii. Tourism Authority, June 13-14, 2023, in Washington, DC
Monday’s tours include stops at Hawaii Host, LLC, the Pacific Gateway Center Culinary Business Incubator, and Hawaii Chip Company/Menehune Mac Candies facilities. The couple will meet with business owners and employees, sample products and visit facilities.
More than 40 Hawaii companies from a variety of industries will participate in a welcome reception, a policy summit with national dignitaries, a HOH tasting event at the US Capitol, and networking events.
“This Hawaii on the Hill event helps my colleagues understand the unique products, food, culture and history that make Hawaii so special. It also gives them a better understanding of the unique challenges Hawaii businesses face, especially now that the world is recovering from the pandemic.
