Just last month, the college sports world announced that USC and UCLA would join the Big Ten in 2024.
The news came just months after Texas and Oklahoma announced they were going to the SEC. Unlike Texas and Oklahoma, logistics – with the USC and UCLA, is still a concern with the Big Ten.
Concerned groups are finding it difficult to travel to the east coast. UCLA has considered these concerns.
“Most of the East Coast conference programs will affect our student-athletes, such as travel time, but we intend to provide faster and more efficient transportation through such innovative programs and increased athletic resources,” the school said in a statement.
“We also look forward to a more friendly time for our West Coast family and fans, which will ensure greater visibility for our series.”
