The virtual live auction will be held at Somerset West at the Lord Charles Hotel on the evening of September 30 and two days on October 1.
All the wines that go under the hammer will be served on both days. Guests will have the opportunity to participate directly in the auction hall or directly from any part of the world.
Virtual live bidding, online, telephone and commission bidding are also available. All interested bidders can register online from September 12, 2022 at Strauss & Co.
The wine lineup will be announced in early August, and you can enjoy the two informal pre-bid displays. The Cape Town Exhibition will be held at the Cape Town International Convention Center on August 25, 2022, and the Johannesburg Exhibition a week later, on August 31, 2022 at the Galton in Sandton.
In a farewell note, winemaker Chris Aheit opted to leave CWG for personal reasons, his main motivation being to cut out unnecessary words to spend more quality time with his young family. He comes out in a completely peaceful environment and misses team members very much.
