When it comes to business, everything is chaotic. There are some businesses that take the hype to another level – businesses that are at the top of their game, sometimes beating customers to the punch. That’s what a landscaping company did after last week’s severe storm in the San Antonio area uprooted a tree in the parking lot of a local Bicycle World store.
A viral TikTok video by user elazarrodiles shows a tree falling on a red pickup truck in the parking lot in front of a bicycle retailer. The trunk of the tree narrowly missed the car’s hood and although it appeared that there was no damage to the windshield, the tree still had to be removed.
Not to miss an opportunity to lend a helping hand, the landscaper hits a business card in a place that’s hard to escape: the tree. This prompted many other businesses to follow their lead by placing business cards under the vehicle’s windshield wipers.
“I’m surprised the car wasn’t seriously damaged, I’ve seen cars seriously damaged in bad weather but this was different. It’s something you don’t see every day, that’s why I decided to film it because you’re something,” said Elazar Rodiles, who took the video.
As of Monday, April 24, the video has garnered more than 26,000 likes and more than 400 comments since it was posted.
“You were quick with the business card,” Tik Tok user Kalogera commented on the video with several laughing and crying emojis.
Another user wrote on the video thread, “Tree: We were trying to contact you about your car’s extended warranty.”
While many joked about the business card, others commented on how lucky the truck was to avoid serious damage and suggested the owner of the vehicle buy a few lottery tickets. Others used the owner’s line of credit to support backing into parking spaces.
“I’ll be going back to every parking lot for the rest of my life,” Gofigob said.
