The Seattle Mariners made an unexpected roster addition on Saturday, and hope it pays off as they aim to reach the postseason for the first time since 2001.
Crews said they adopted a clubhouse dog from Okandogs Dog Rescue in Cashmere, Washington. Tucker, a four-year-old Labrador/retriever mix, will be a clubhouse regular at T-Mobile Park as well as down the road.

Tucker seems to be making himself at home and making new friends with the players and coaching staff.

Manager Scott Servais He told reporters. The idea of raising a clubhouse dog has been in the works for over a year.
“He was heavily scouted. We ran people over there and checked them out. Jack ran over there. We got big-time numbers on this dog. So he went up in the draft. We’re happy to have him. He’s a great addition to our club as a free agent. He’s been with the guys all day. He’s going to bring it and play. You’ll see him running around here in the next few days. He’s got the clubhouse covered now.”
What year do sailors get puppies? The team is currently in second place in the American League West with a 57-50 record and could make a deep playoff run. If this happens, Tucker will definitely be the life of the party.
