Small Town Curves at 300 S. Main in Pratt is a full-service bridal salon offering bridal gowns, bridesmaid and mother of the bride gowns and tuxedos. A special runway show at Pratt Community College on Sunday afternoon proved that this clothing store in south-central Kansas has a lot to offer young women in a homecoming and uniquely stylish fashion.
“We had such a great turnout for the first Hoko Expo,” owner Samantha Gwin said in a Facebook post. “Our ambassadors looked beautiful and amazing. We hope you all like what you see and can’t wait to help you find your gown! Stay tuned for big announcements and Prom Expo ’23!
Regular hours for homecoming dress shoppers are Wednesday-Friday 11am-5:30pm, Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday by appointment. For special attention, bridal shops are always encouraged to make an appointment. These appointments can be made online at www.smalltowncurves.com.
Local girls were the focus of the HOCO Expo on Sunday afternoon, but it was complete with a runway to model short dresses and lots of styles and colors on Small Town Curves.
“We don’t sell one uniform to one school,” Gwinn said. “So the girls don’t worry about seeing the same clothes they’re wearing on someone else, whether it’s going out or coming home.”
There were plenty of bright orange dresses on stage for Sunday’s show, but in a variety of styles that are just right for fall, especially if the temperature warms up.
Jody Sweiden’s daughter, Jaylene, was one of the catwalk models at the Little Town Curves Homecoming Expo. “Like all ambassadors, she was amazing!!” said Sweiden.
Gwynn hopes the Homecoming Expo will become an annual event for local young women who want to focus on the great dress options available in Pratt for special events.
