Rob Gronkowski went into full “Gronk” mode when he donated to Buffalo Bills safety DeMar Hamlin’s toy drive charity.
Hamlin suffered a heart attack and collapsed on the football field during the Bills’ Monday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals. After regaining a pulse on the field, he was transported to UC Medical Center and listed in critical condition.
Thankfully, the 24-year-old defender has made significant strides in his recovery since that tragic moment. In a dramatic transformation, he opened his eyes and spoke to his teammates.
As Hamlin begins to read the names of the donors to the charity, he encounters “Robert Gronkowski,” who made a donation of $6,900. That certain amount is evident in true “Gronk” fashion.
The legendary former New England Patriots joins the growing list of contributors to the Drive Fund, now over $8 million.
Tom Brady and Patriots owner Robert Kraft contributed along with several Patriots players, including Lawrence Gay, Brian Hoyer and Myles Bryant.
