Spring may still be a month away, but I’ve just emptied my bottle of cleansing oil and I took it as a sign to change up my facial cleansing routine. I’m on a hunt for an oil cleanser and secondary cleanser that work well together for an effective double cleansing routine. As I was going through samples from K-Beauty brands, two boxes in a therapeutic turquoise color caught my attention – the Moringa Deep Cleansing Oil and Moringa Mild Cleansing Foam from FORENCOS.
FORENCOS is a Korean cosmetics brand that’s new to me, but it has been around since the late 1980s. While better known for makeup products such as the Tattoo Wonder Velvet Tint and Tattoo Glass Tint, FORENCOS emphasizes natural ingredients in formulations for both its skin care and makeup offerings.
Moringa Deep Cleansing Oil
What is it? A gentle-on-skin oil cleanser formulated with moringa seed oil and other nourishing and skin-purifying botanical oils to effectively remove all traces of makeup and grime. The formula’s moringa-infused scent and calendula extract deliver a calming touch to lift moods.
Housed in a translucent pump-dispenser bottle, the cleansing oil boasts an earthy yet floral scent, which I assume is from the moringa seed oil. The oil texture was surprisingly more watery-thin than I expected. It glided on skin silkily and lathered into a thin, foamy texture.
The formula rinsed off easily with just a few splashes of water. After patting my dry face with a towel, I noticed my skin’s soft, moisturized finish that wasn’t at all greasy. The formula’s cleansing power proved to be highly effective in melting away makeup, as I didn’t have to rub hard to remove my waterproof eyeliners.
Moringa Mild Cleansing Foam
What is it? A pH-friendly cleansing foam packed with amino acids and glycerin to provide a gentle yet thorough cleanse without stripping skin of moisture. Additional botanical extracts from soapwort, stonecrop and calendula offer a calming and revitalizing boost to improve skin brightness and moisture retention.
In detail:
This foam cleanser comes in a squeeze tube decked with leaf silhouettes that echo its outer box packaging. The squeeze tube made it easy to dispense the right amount of product I needed per use. The texture is a pearlescent white gel with the same earthy, floral scent as the cleansing oil. As I spread and massaged the cleanser over my skin, it transformed into a silky foam that easily rinsed off with water. The foam cleanser left a soft and refreshing skin finish free of tautness.
The Verdict
Both cleansers are enriched with moringa seed oil, an ingredient naturally rich in amino acids to alleviate redness, smooth wrinkles and promote overall skin health. The Moringa Deep Cleansing Oil offers a quick and efficient cleanse that made getting rid of makeup and sunscreen at the end of the day less of a chore and more of a refreshing skin care step.
I tend to have a bumpy relationship with foaming cleansers as they often leave my skin feeling tight and uncomfortable. Despite my concerns, I’m glad I gave the Moringa Mild Cleansing Foam a chance as it’s probably the most moisturizing cleansing foam I’ve ever tried to date. I don’t mind the scent of the cleansers but it may be a con for those who are sensitive to strong fragrance.
Overall, I’m 100% sold on FORENCO’s cleansing oil and foaming foam! They’re keepers for anyone looking for a hydrating and effective double cleansing routine.
