Friday July 22: Ten years ago, the Denver Streets Partnership and the Federal Boulevard Business Improvement District set their sights on the Jefferson Park neighborhood, hoping to start a community-led effort. Better block Jefferson ParkTo improve and live the environment through safe and welcoming infrastructure, arts, culture and local businesses.
On Friday, they’ll celebrate that project with a party on 25th Avenue, between Federal Boulevard and Elliott Street, with food and drinks, local vendors and music from several bands, including Los Mocochetes and Blue Recluse. Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox reopened in Denver in April 2022 after a long pandemic closure and interior redesign. The music venue, bar and restaurant is now part of a group of employee-owned local restaurants.

Saturday July 23-Sunday July 24. Want more music? The non-profit Punk rock saves lives cooperated with Ratio Beerworks A two-day music and beer festival. Saturday’s lineup includes: BOLLYVILLES, COUNTERPUNCH, RECORD THIEVES and CREATION OF DISCOMFORT. Sunday’s bands include: War, Tsunami Bomb, Egoista and Jukebox Hardknocks.
The event is a fundraiser for Punk Rock Saves Lives, which focuses on health issues, equal rights and human rights. Two-day general admission tickets are $25 (VIP tickets are $50).
