of New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) The Queens Exit 1W ramp from the southbound Van Wyck Expressway (I-678) to the westbound Belt Parkway is closed. Wednesday, August 3rd, approximately Monday, August 15th.
Closures are scheduled Wednesday through Friday from 12:01 a.m. to 5 a.m. each morning. Weekend closures begin Friday evenings at 8 p.m. and continue through Monday mornings at 5 a.m.
Motorists wishing to access the westbound Belt Parkway during these closures should take Exit C (Federal Circle) and follow the signed directions.
Weather conditions may cause the closure to be delayed again.
These closures are necessary for NYSDOT’s $13 million pavement preservation project in the boroughs of Queens, Brooklyn and Richmond.
