Orioles open series against Pittsburgh in wet fashion (8/5/22)

The Orioles started to close after a rain delay.

After an off day and road sweep, the Orioles return to Camden Yards to begin a three-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The 7:05 game was pushed back due to a rain delay, but was able to start around 8:50 PM EST.

The starting pitcher was Mitch Keller (4.32 ERA).

The Orioles and Pirates were on a roll throughout the game.

Brett Phillips hit a double in the first at-bat of the Camden Yards Orioles in the 4th inning.

In the 6th, Ramon Urias hit a one-bouncer single that scored Anthony Santander for a 1-0 lead.

Cionel Perez (1.21 ERA) came in to relieve Dean Kramer in the 7th. Kramer had 2 hits, joining Jordan Lyles as the only Baltimore starters to hit multiple games over 6 innings this season.

Manny Banuelos (4.41 ERA) relieved Mitch Keller in the 7th inning. Keller had 1 strikeout.

Yohan Ramirez (6.35 ERA) relieved Banuelos in the 9th.

Felix Bautista (1.81 ERA) entered OS to close out the game and was awarded the save.

The Orioles managed to get one game against the Pirates. The next game will be played on Saturday, August 6 at 5:05 p.m.
