From new apartments being approved to restaurants reopening and ready to serve, here’s your weekly look at what’s happening at businesses in your area.
ALDI: Bethlehem Plaza, 3843 Nazareth Pike, Bethlehem Township
The major discount grocer is adding a store next to the former Kmart on Nazareth Pike. According to a Facebook post from James Balliet Property Group, it is unknown when Aldi will reopen.
The southwest entrance at the intersection of Nazareth Pike (also known as Route 191 and Linden Street) and Route 22 has other open spaces, and Ballit Ballit’s Facebook post says more tenants are coming.
Businesses there now include a Dollar Tree, restaurants and salons. A seasonal Halloween store will also be opening soon in the plaza. Read more.

Anatolian Kitchen: 3016 Linden St., Bethlehem
The Mediterranean restaurant is undergoing renovations, according to a sign in the Anatolian window at Taylor Court on the east side of Linden Street in Bethlehem.
A reopening date had not been set as of Thursday.
When open, the Anatolian kitchen offers kebabs, gyros, hummus, soups, salads and lamb, chicken and beef dishes, along with vegetarian options.

Banana Factory Center for the Arts: 25 W. Third Holy, Bethlehem
The old Fruit Wholesale building will come down because the Bethlehem City Council has repealed the Historic Preservation Commission. MusicFest’s parent company, ArtsQuest, will tear it down and build a new cultural center.
That five-story, 73,485-square-foot building cost about $22.1 million.
The Historical Commission is an advisory body and the City Council has final authority over land use. Get the full story.

ML Gallery & CO: 901 Main St., Hellertown
The Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber of Commerce will welcome the new nail salon with a ribbon cutting on August 23rd. Doors open at 5:30, with opening ceremony shortly after.
ML Gallery is a nail salon specializing in nail care, foot care, enhancements and nail art.

Moyer Entertainment & Hospitality CO.: 20-24 W. Broad St., Bethlehem
The Bethlehem City Council approved moving a liquor license from Green Pond Golf Course to a building adjacent to the old Boyd Theater in Bethlehem.
Moyer Entertainment and Hospitality plans to open a restaurant on West Broad Street with a basement and rooftop bar. The opening will be in one year. Get all the details.

Pure EATZ: 1665 State Hill Road, Wyomissing
The cafe, with its emphasis on healthy eating, just held its grand opening and is now serving up snacks and bowls, along with several other options including buffalo and black bean burgers.

Phoenix Physical Therapy: 3580 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring
The medical center will hold an open house and grand opening on Aug. 30 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a ribbon cutting at 12:15 p.m.

FARMHOUSE CAFE: 3180 Route 611, Bartonsville
The Pocono Chamber will host a celebration at the cafe’s new location on Aug. 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. There will be a ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. followed by a networking session. The event is free and all are invited.

KRESSLER, WOLF & MILLER: 14 S. Eighth St., Stroudsburg
The insurance agency will hold a grand reopening with the Pocono Chamber of Commerce on Aug. 23 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The event is free and open to all.

Schuylkill County Drug and Alcohol Program: 1 Broadway Street, Schuylkill Haven.
The center will hold a grand opening walk on Thursday, Sept. 1 at 4 p.m., followed by a recovery walk. The event is free, registration is available online.

UPLAND SQUARE: Route 100, Pottstown
A 400,716-square-foot shopping center in Montgomery County sold for $85.7 million, according to Brad Nathanson of Institutional Property Advisors. The AMC Theater and free-standing spaces at the center were not part of the sale. Tenants at Upland Square include Burlington, Giant, Five Below, Ross, Staples and Ulta.
The buyer is Singapore-based United Hampshire US REIT, according to Nathanson’s statement, and the seller is Paramount Realty Services Inc. of New Jersey. it is.
Upland was built in 2009 and expanded 10 years later.
Institutional Asset Advisors, on behalf of the seller, sold Marcus & Millichap Inc., which trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol MMI. It’s a class. Read more.

ST. Luke’s Care Now: 22 Walmart Plaza, Clinton
An urgent care walk-in center in Hunterdon County will reopen Monday, according to a social media post from St. Luke’s University Health Network. A Care Now office does not require an appointment.
The center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and provides urgent care at a low cost, St. Luke’s said.
