Novant and Atrium Health centers welcome first babies of 2023 – WSOC TV

CHARLOTTE — Atrium Health and Novant Health have announced the first babies of 2023 in the greater Charlotte region.

Atrium’s first baby of the New Year was born at Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby, NC at 12:09 a.m.

Novant Health’s first baby was born just two minutes after midnight at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Bridget Camacho-Duarte was born to Mabelyn Duarte weighing eight pounds and one and a half ounces.

The first baby born in Mecklenburg County was at Atrium Health’s flagship hospital outside of Uptown. Tyson Bishop was born to Amanda and Clint Bishop, weighing six pounds and eight ounces.

Novant Health welcomed two other babies in addition to Camacho-Duarte.

Kadence Rence Lunsford was born at 3:45 a.m. at Novant Health Center in Matthews. He was born to parents Chloe Carpenter and Eric Lunsford weighing seven pounds and eight ounces.

Lennox James Toliver was born at 9:59 a.m. at Novant Health Center in Huntersville. Toliver was born to parents Alicia and Ramao Toliver weighing six pounds and 13 ounces.
