Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has updated its health and safety protocols in the wake of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) decision to suspend its Covid-19 cruise ship program.
According to a letter sent to NCL travel partners, the cruise line will accept all guests regardless of vaccination status starting September 3. There are no restrictions for NCL guests aged 11 and under, but the company cautions passengers that it is their responsibility to be aware of local protocols and travel restrictions at each destination.
The cruise line will also issue updated travel requirements on August 11, including incentives for itineraries visiting the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, the Cayman Islands and Greece.
Since the CDC eased restrictions on cruise ships, several major companies, including Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Holland America Line, Virgin Cruises and others, have lifted health and safety protocols previously linked to the coronavirus.
