In Darien, DCA Thrift Shop on Post Road has been on that trend for over 90 years and has become a local hub for discerning fashionistas to find premium and contemporary designer items at thrift store prices.

The new date for the event is Wednesday September 14th.
To focus on the need for more eco-friendly shopping, the Darien Community Association is hosting a sustainable fashion show on Wednesday, September 14th (it’s a new day) featuring designer fashions sold at the DCA Thrift Shop.
“The fashion show is a great opportunity for us to showcase the high quality clothing and accessories we sell in store,” said thrift store manager Deb Danielle.
The event features local models showcasing clothing from top designers Gucci, Celine, Jil Sander, Valentino and Prada, as well as more contemporary labels such as Rag & Bone, Mother and Helmut Lang.
All clothing, shoes, bags and accessories from the airport, as well as additional items for women, men and children, will be available for sale at a post-show shopping event.
“With the growing popularity of resale, the time was right for us to focus on the Thrift Shop for sustainable fashion,” said Daniels.

Tickets Tickets for the event, which will be held at the Darien Community Association, 274 Middlesex Road in Darien, are $25 and can be purchased on the DCA website.
