There will be no better time for Chinese Speaker Nancy Pelosi to visit Taiwan (“Nancy Pelosi’s Taiwan Trip, Review & Outlook, July 21). But China should not dictate Mrs. Pelosi’s trip. What would China say if America made such an absurd request on the travel of its government officials? Ms. Pelosi should go and go openly and proudly, and hold a town hall or some other important democratic move in Taiwan.
