Houghton, Mich – The Michigan Tech track and field team is headed to the downhill for its third outdoor season meet, competing in the Golden Grizzlies Invitational on Saturday, April 8 at the Elaine Leigh Track and Field Complex on Oakland University’s campus.

The field events will take place at noon, starting with the women’s hammer throw, and the track events will begin at 12:30 pm with the 4x100m relay. With the exception of the men’s and women’s 5,000m races, the races are held in a rapid heat first.

The Huskies field their most complete team to date against the Golden Grizzlies, with 62 roster spots to compete in the conference. Live results of the meeting are available here.

The Black and Gold posted six event wins to tie the school record in the women’s pole vault, with senior Ellie Zimmerman and freshman Anna Shuler both clearing new program and personal best heights of 11-9.75 (3.60m).
