Brent Casebolt is one of 18 individuals selected to receive the 2022 Distinguished Alumni Award.
INDIANAPOLIS – Ivy Tech Community College honored Brent Casebolt of Moores Hill as one of 18 individuals selected to receive the 2022 Distinguished Alumni Award. Selected through a highly competitive process, each recipient has made a lasting impact on their community and Ivy Tech through outstanding professional, philanthropic or volunteer achievements.
“These individuals exemplify service and leadership,” said Ivy Tech President Dr. Sue Elsperman. “Our distinguished alumni prove that an Ivy Tech education is synonymous with career excellence and economic prosperity, and I am honored to see how the college has played a role in their continued success in life.”
David Wiseman nominated Brent for his willingness and willingness to help others in all walks of life. “For many years, Brent has worked with our local Police Cops N Kids program where police officers shop for Christmas at our local Wal-Mart. This is a great local event that is eagerly awaited by many of our most needy children. As a South Dearborn school board member, he worked with local communities to ensure they had a voice. He has also taught police officers and college students for many years at IVY Tech on the Indiana Data and Communication System (IDACS), the Sex Offender Registry, various prison courses, and several criminal justice courses. Brent is the epitome of a friendly and approachable local police officer, maintaining professionalism and serving the community at the highest level. His work is characterized by continuing education, honest and courageous public service, and a deep commitment to the public. He has the ability to befriend children who need his companionship, serving as their confidant as they deal with the many difficult issues they face. Wiseman wrote.
Alumni, faculty, staff and friends are all encouraged to make nominations. Awardees must be graduates of Ivy Tech who have received an associate degree, technical certificate or certificate.
The college has been honoring distinguished alumni since 1998.
