Ever since she was crowned Miss Universe in January 2021, Harnaz Sandhu has been spending most of her time in New York City.
And she’s been in the thick of New York Fashion Week over the past few days, attending shows alongside several A-list stars.
Sandhu is showing clips from her scenes and outfits.
On Sunday night, she was supporting the beauty queen, Amelia Tu, Miss Universe Canada, who is showcasing her own sustainable fashion brand. Sandhu wore a beautiful blush pink jumpsuit with a black leather jacket for the event, which was attended by other Miss Universe delegates.
“I’m so shocked and I can’t believe what I just saw,” she said on her Instagram story after the event. “And the way they used the fabric and recycled it and made it into sustainable fashion was amazing. What a fantastic show.”
She was at the show of Indian brand Falguni Shane Peacock on Saturday and stepped back to admire the new collection of lehengas.
She wore a designer look for the occasion, sporting a black mini dress with silver sequin embellishments and a feather-trimmed skirt. She paired the look with dark sunglasses, black stilettos, a black clutch bag and diamond earrings.
That same evening, she attended Indian-American designer Naeem Khan’s show alongside actress Kate Beckinsale and American model Pat Cleveland.
She wore an ice-blue, figure-hugging mini dress embellished with hundreds of diamonds, with a plunging neckline and padded shoulders, metallic stiletto heels and a white leather chain bag.
In January, Sandhu won India’s first Miss Universe crown in 21 years, her third overall. After winning the championship, she has been traveling the world and has made several trips to her home country.
In August, she returned to Mumbai to win the Miss Universe India pageant, Miss Diva Universe.
The title was won by 23-year-old architect Divita Rai, who finished second to Sandhu last year.
Alongside Fashion Week, Sandhu is busy performing her Miss Universe duties in New York; This city won the title and visited it for the first time.
