PARKERSBURG — Four health care centers in the region have received funds from the federal American Rescue Plan, officials announced on Monday.

Twenty-nine health centers received a share of the $1.9 million made available statewide through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service.

The four health care center in the region, which will each receive $65,500, are: Wirt County Health Service Association, Elizabeth; Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center, Grantsville; Ritchie County Primary Care Association, Harrisville; and Roane Family Health Care, Spencer.

The funding announced Monday will support data modernization to help provide more personalized community care and also strengthen COVID-19 recovery efforts, Sen. Joe Manchin, D.-W.Va., a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, said.
