Max Verstappen extended his championship lead as Leclerc and Norris battled it out.
Max Verstappen put in a stunning performance to win the Miami Grand Prix on Sunday. The Dutchman won his third race of the season after passing eight other cars, including his Red Bull team-mate Sergio Perez.
In the process, he extended his lead in the championship from six points with Perez to 14 points. As for the Mexican driver, he was disappointed not to be able to convert his pole position into a win.
When it came to Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris, the race weekend was nothing short of a disaster. The Mongasque driver finished seventh, the same position he started in after suffering problems in the race. As a result, Mercedes’ George Russell lost his place in the championship by getting only six points.
Norris, on the other hand, finished 14th and failed to earn any points for the team. The Briton is ninth in the championship, just two points ahead of Alpine’s Pierre Gasly.
