Loving fashion doesn’t have to come at the cost of the environment. That’s why Mana Fashion Services is all the rage.

They specialize in turning your old clothes into something new. The best part is going from drab to fashionable while helping planet earth.

If you have a lot of clothes that you don’t know what to do with, don’t throw them away! Mana Fashion Services has a solution.

Martu Freeman-Parker: “Mana Fashion aims to create a community within the fashion industry in downtown Miami.

This Thursday, they are hosting a zero waste workshop and networking experience where people can learn how to improve their clothes.

Martu Freeman-Parker: “This is our first workshop as a Mana fashion service, and our goal is to bring the community together to learn. Sustainability is one of our top priorities for our fashion designers here in Miami.

Mana is getting a little help from artist and designer Pangea Virga.

Martu Freeman-Parker: “Pangea is action. She is working every day. She is active in this community. She will lift up this community. She is the best person to have this conversation with.”

Panga is very talented. Her design is completely unique, and she does not waste a piece of fabric.

Pangea Virga: “I make one-of-a-kind clothes from pieces that are turned upside down, so I take things apart from the community or other designers and make new things.

At the workshop, she teaches people how to mend their clothes. There will be an exchange where people will trade their unwanted clothes with someone else, and then there will be a cocktail hour where everyone will be embarrassed.

Panga Virga: “I think it’s important to come to these kinds of workshops for people to learn how to repair, so that things don’t just end up in landfills.”

She believes that people need to be willing participants in order to make a difference, which is why she has partnered with Mana from the workshop.

Panje Virga: “It’s beautiful to be able to find a place where we can all learn something new together, share our resources and create a better future.
