Local startups raised $100 million in July. Want to follow in their footsteps?

There are many reasons to feel positive about Australia’s startup scene. Just last month, Melbourne luggage startup July was named the official luggage supplier to Australia’s Commonwealth Games team, biodegradable product maker Great Wrap locked in $24 million in funding, health tech startup Human successfully closed a $10.5 million seed funding round, and ordinary human resources. The platform was provided by Siddikaker Cement. The partnership with Sek is thanks to $20 million in funding, just to name a few.

In fact, local startups raised more than $100 million in July.

In a conversation with SmartCompanyAfterWork Ventures co-founder Alex Khor says he’s excited about what he calls a “self-sustaining cycle” where big Australian start-up stories like Canva and Atlassian have “started to channel their skills and knowledge into second-generation popular businesses”. .
