Megan was born in 1988. Before her marriage to Prince Harry in 2018, she was a fan of Erdem pieces, often wearing the label’s earth-tone daywear. While expecting her first child, Arch Mountbatten Windsor, the Duchess wore a gorgeous Erdem dress to celebrate the Commonwealth.

over here, News week Takes a look at two of the Royal Family’s best Erdem fashion moments.

Kate at the Victoria and Albert Museum, October 2018

Kate wore one of her more subtle Erdem looks for the first time during a visit to the photography galleries at the Victoria and Albert Museum on October 10, 2018.

An asymmetrical slip shoulder tweed design featured the Prince of Wales’ check design. (Her father-in-law, now King Charles, was the Prince of Wales at the time.) When Queen Elizabeth II died last September, one of Charles’ first acts as monarch was to make Prince William the new Prince of Wales. Kate thus became the Princess of Wales.

Embellished with decorative buttons, the design was part of Erdem’s Spring 2018 collection, known as the Iman Dress.

Meghan at Canada House, March 2019

Although Meghan was a fan of Erdem designs before her marriage, it doesn’t appear that she has worn the label for public events since her marriage to Harry. An important exception to this was in March 2019 at an event in support of the Commonwealth Youth Programme, when she was expecting her first child, Arch.

The green tweed empire line dress and coat design with black embroidered floral design was worn for the event at Canada House in London. It was a custom interpretation of the design featured in Erdem’s Autumn/Winter 2019 collection.

The design drew aesthetic comparisons to the ensemble worn by Princess Diana when she was expecting Prince William in 1981.
