After President Joe Biden called on gas companies to reduce oil prices, Jeff Bezos said he did not have a “basic” understanding of the forces that accused the US president of misleading the public or were actually driving prices.

“Oh, inflation is a very important issue for the White House to continue to make such statements,” Bezos said on Twitter on Saturday night.

On his first Twitter post, Biden appealed directly to gas stations and encouraged them to pay less for fuel.

“My message to the gas station companies is simple, but this is a time of war and a global threat. Lower the price you pay for the pump to reflect the price you pay for the product.” “Biden said Saturday morning.

The president urged obedience without hesitation.

“And do it now,” he commanded.

Bezos tweeted that he was talking too much and that Biden could explain how much he knew about the market.

In response, Bezos said, “It is a misunderstanding of the right direction or fundamental market volatility.”

Comedian Tim Young also described Biden’s Twitter account as “full BS”.

“Gas stations do not ultimately control what they charge,” he added. “People aren’t that stupid.”

In the past, Bezos and the White House have been at loggerheads over inflation, which the White House has sought to blame on big companies like Amazon.

In May, Bezos tweeted: “Obviously they want to argue. “They know inflation hurts the most vulnerable. But unions don’t bring inflation and they are not rich people.”
