The Hunter x Jackel Culture House, a partnership between the renowned cider brand and Tresor Riziki’s heritage enhancement collaboration with in_Broadcasting is hitting high notes.

The multi-award-winning African pop maverick, simply known as Tresor, founded Jacqueline Culture House in partnership with In_Broadcasting a year ago and moved quickly to find a like-minded partner to expand the project’s reach.
“Given Tresor’s unwavering commitment to projects that elevate Africa – he is a proud UN Refugee Agency Ambassador – and Hunter’s long history as a supporter of the South African music scene – it was clear that the Hunter x Jacqueline Culture House would be perfect. Collaboration” explained by _Broadcasting founder John Savage.
“And with the Hunter x Jacques Culture House collaboration deal, we’ve been proven right by providing opportunities for young artists in just a few months.”
Already making waves in the industry is the collaboration’s national always-on talent search to match up-and-coming musicians with superstar mentors. From thousands of entries in any given region, the project identifies the top 100 wannabes, and gives them personal feedback on their submissions.
The top 10 stars then play head-to-head, each choosing one of the top 10 to mentor and take their career to the next level. In the ever-present format, there’s a regional top 10 performance every two months, as well as a mentor/up-and-coming star pairing each month.
June pairing already announced (Zakes Bantwini and Jax Colorado) July pairing to be announced soon. These were selected from the Gauteng Top 10 performers. Cape Town’s top 10 show will soon take place, while the Durban hopefuls are busy filming their shows, with the next region to be announced soon.
In addition to this instant success, MTV Base’s Hunter x Jackel Culture House TV show hosted by Tshego Koke is creating a national buzz in South Africa’s music-loving communities.
Commenting on the creation of Hunter x Jackel Culture House, Savage said Hunter’s support of both musicians and the music industry goes back many years and includes partnerships with the likes of Nadia Nakai, Tshego Worldwide and Prince Kaybee. However, at the start of the recent Covid-19 lockdowns, he showed his resolve.
“With Covid-19 tearing everyone apart,” he said, “Aden upped his music game with his sponsorship of Channel O’ Lock Down House Party 2020, which entertained South Africans of all ages.”
He was then one of the first brands to organize a concert aimed at relaunching live music events in November 2021 after a nearly 19-month ban on public gatherings, and donated 50% of the ticket price to the Music Africa Foundation (MIAF).
“Now with his new partnership with Tresor, he’s taken another step forward in helping to guide new artists with the fundamental skills, resources and expertise of SA’s biggest music stars.”
According to Minel Abdullah, Hunter Brand Manager, Tresor’s own journey of success has inspired the programs and platforms that will be launched in the next few months.
