Disney’s Dreamlight Valley Fast Travel is great for traveling the world using Wish Wells, but you’ll need to unlock it properly by completing the ‘Friendship is Everything’ quest. The means of efficiently getting around Disney’s Dreamlight Valley are very limited at first, especially since you can’t run fast and can only fast travel to one place. During the first few hours, you can quickly teleport between Wishing Wells using only the map and you can also travel to Realms using Dream Castle. Here’s what you need to know about unlocking and using these fast travel modes at Disney’s Dreamlight Valley.
How to use Wish Wells for a quick trip to Disney Dreamlight Valley

In order to travel faster using Disney’s Dreamlight Valley, you must first ensure it is active. Active pits are marked with a purple icon on the map and appear to be clean, undamaged by dark magic, and not covered by wooden planks. If you have any active pits, you can fast travel to one by clicking the corresponding icon on the map. Clicking on the icon will immediately send you to the selected well phone. Apart from traveling only to active wells, there are no other restrictions – you can travel to the well from anywhere and at any time, although certain missions may temporarily limit fast travel.
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to properly access the Wishing Well fast travel option until you visit the Realm and get the ‘friendship is everything’ question from Merlin. Here’s what you need to do to complete this quest and unlock Good Wishes Fast Travel:
- Reach Friendship Level 5 with three different Disney Villagers.
- Talk to Merlin again.
- Collect the friendship orb From thorns and Place it in the nearest pillar.
- Talk to Merlin for a good wish in the Peaceful Fields.
Placing the Orb of Friendship into the pillar clears the area of any dark magic and makes the well safe, but very damaged. Merlin also enchants some repairs, so he lets you use the well for fast travel. Each of the eight areas in Dreamlight Valley has its own well, and you’ll need to go through roughly the same process as above: find the area’s relevant orb and place it in the pillar to clear the well. However, Scrooge McDuck and his money-making speculations mean you no longer have to pay to repair a well to use for fast travel – where’s Merlin’s magic when you need it?!
How to use the Castle of Dreams for a quick trip to Disney Dreamlight Valley

The second method of fast travel is by using the Castle of Dreams. As with Wishing Wells, you can click on the Dream Castle icon on the map, which is above the main plaza area, except you can choose from a list of locations to teleport to. This includes all of the Dream Wells that you have restored and all of the Disney Realms that you have unlocked to enter in the Dream Castle. Note that you cannot travel from Realm to Realm, so you must return to the main Dreamlight Valley world and use Dream Castle again to travel elsewhere.
Access to the Dream Castle is granted as part of a quest called ‘The Dream Castle’, which is when you get the Disney Dreamlight Valley Royale gear. Here’s what you need to do:
- Meet Merlin at the Dream Castle. It explains that you need to collect the Dreamlight. – Currency earned by completing challenges and missions – To remove the Night Thorn from the castle.
- Collect 2,000 Dreamlights and return to the castle.
- Take out the Dreamlight to get rid of the night thorn And unlock the interior of the castle.

How to move fast in Disney Dreamlight Valley
While Disney’s Dreamlight Valley has fast travel, it lacks any Sprint button to increase your movement speed. However, you can get a temporary Well Fed bonus that makes you move roughly 15% faster. This buffet comes alive after a well-prepared meal when Disney’s Dreamlight Valley Energy Bar is so filling.
