The Château Royal d’Amboise will host an exhibition entitled “Louis XI, the Order of Saint Michael and the Rise of the Monarchy” highlighting the political power of the monarchs who once lived in the chateau. The Château de Langaises in Touraine, which was saved and rebuilt during the reign of Louis XI, pays tribute to the king in the exhibition “The Castle of Louis XI, Builder King”. The well-preserved prison and former state prison under Louis XI, the Cité Royale de Loches offers a unique look at the king’s childhood and influence at the French court.
