He opened a fashion store in Los Olivos

From coordinating Chanel runways and Grammy after-parties to opening her new store, owner Leanna Drummer and fashion have an unbreakable bond.

“Fashion is my passion,” she says, and her extensive list of experiences proves it.

Ms. Drummer is the owner of LOU Los Olivos, a newly opened boutique in Los Olivos. Ms. Drummer told the News-Press that her new store is full of “chic” and “elegant” pieces.

“When I thought about what I wanted the store to be, I was thinking of a rich woman’s closet in Paris,” explains the fashionista.

Ms. Drummer has over 20 years of experience in the fashion industry. Growing up in the San Ynez Valley, the store owner explained how her grandmother was one of her earliest influences.

“My grandmother was a seamstress; she used to make dresses and matching dresses for my dolls when I was a child,” explained Ms. Drummer. My grandmother influenced me from a young age.

Ms. Drummer moved from New York to Los Angeles several times as she grew up in the fashion industry. She first moved to New York knowing that there was “something more beautiful to her than that.” Eventually, she found the level of glamor and prestige she was looking for.

In the year In 1997, Ms. Drummer was working in the fashion department for Merv Griffin Event Productions.

“I was doing shows for Chanel, when Michael Kors was designing for Celine, when Tom Ford was designing for Gucci – all of that was very glamorous and I was in my own body, and I’m very happy that I did it.”

Ms. Drummer has worked with Victoria’s Secret, New York Fashion Week and prestigious award shows, just scratching the surface of her career.

“When I was with Merv, I not only hosted big fashion events, but after-parties for the Oscars, Emmys and Grammys,” she says.

Ms. Drummer explained that while her career has been fruitful, her next step is to focus on her family and inspire the local community with her beautiful pieces.

“Being a mother is the best gift in the world, and I feel so blessed to be able to do all of these things and now I’m so blessed to be able to work in a beautiful little shop!” said Mrs. Drummer.

When asked about the name of her new boutique, LOU Los Olivos, Ms. Drummer explained her reasoning and the heartfelt meaning behind it.

“The name is special to me. I have two boys named Lex and Luce and I wanted my third child to be a girl and I named her Lo. Although I did not have a daughter, the shop became my daughter instead! So — I named the store LOU.

Regarding her newly opened store, Ms. Drummer wants her customers to be inspired and inspired to wear when they shop in her store: “I want them[her customers]to come in and find little treasures that they love. I want them to be inspired to wear my clothes when they see them.

Coming out of the epidemic where pants and sweatshirts were the size of clothing, Ms. Drummer wanted to encourage her clients to dress like her and enjoy the process.

In her store, Ms. Drummer draws many luxury brands and designers into one stylish and fashionable closet. Some of those designers include: Gemma Styles, Miguelina, Sou de Mal, Bonnie Starr and Luis Verdad – who she’s exclusively offering a capsule collection for her store.

“My friend Louie Verdad, who used to sell for Nordstroms and Neiman Marcus, put together a capsule just for my store,” the owner explains.

“I’ve done some shows for him before and I had a special relationship with him; I love all the designs.

Ms. Drummer recently revealed that designer Luis Verdad only sells this capsule collection to private clients and celebrities.

“You can only find this capsule collection in my store,” she said. “It will not be sold to other stores.”

As for future plans, Ms. Drummer discussed her new bucket lists and a few goals she’d like to achieve.

“I want to visit Paris and Milan and buy there, I want to put those clothes in my store for my customers,” said the owner.

Also, when asked about expanding the store to more locations, Ms. Drummer said, “When I’m an empty nester, it’s a dream to have another store somewhere else. There are so many amazing places in the world, and it would be nice to have a second place or a third place.

Her husband has personally designed the store with items of clothing that she loves and hopes that her customers will love it too.

“I opened the store with pieces that I love and wear, and I hope to eventually buy them after I get to know more about what my customers like.”

Ms Drummer was optimistic, saying she was looking forward to seeing her shop improve and believed it would only get better.

From fashion event coordinator to shop owner, Ms. Drummer says, “I’m very happy with the direction I’m in,” and fashion continues to be a part of her life.
