More than 700 guests turned out on a warm, bright and sunny afternoon for the 46th Country Town Day celebration in Alma.

Attendees had the opportunity to cut into a steak dinner, view farm machinery and listen to musical entertainment, while youngsters had the opportunity to participate in a number of children’s activities.

But the petting zoo at Anderson and Girl Orchards had to be canceled to ensure the safety of the animals due to high temperatures.

But most of the attendees were there to find out who the two major honorees were.
