Walking into an Apple Store brings back memories of iPods, iMac G3s, and those oh-so-early 2000s Apple commercials. But you don’t need to rely on old memories to go back. A new app developed by Michael Stieber lets you visit the most famous Apple stores on opening days.
The app, called Apple Store Time Machine, is free and runs on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. It is incredibly detailed and features four locations: Apple’s Tyson’s Corner in Virginia (2001), Apple’s Stanford Mall in California (2004), Apple’s Fifth Avenue in New York (2006) and the beloved Apple Infinite Loop in California (2016).

In the Apple Store Time Machine, you can interact with multiple components, including computers, software, and phones. But the details shocked me. Even if you visit these stores on opening day, you’ll find new items including items you might have missed or forgotten about. Winning coupons.
Again, the Apple Store Time Machine is free to install on Mac computers. It won’t work on Windows without a VM.
