Georgia Tech football fall camp preview: Tight ends

Fall camp is quickly approaching and the 2022 season is fast approaching. I’ve been previewing the offense for Georgia Tech before fall camp and so far the quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers have been covered. Today, I’ll take a look at the tight end position, which has become more prominent under new offensive coordinator Chip Long.

When Long was hired as the new coordinator, my first thought was that Georgia Tech was going to be in more of a 12 personnel (1 back, 2 tight ends) group than they had been in a long time. However, more pieces needed to be put in place and head coach Geoff Collins and his staff have been busy this offseason building depth and adding interesting pieces there.
