– Susan Atay, a former chief economist at Stanford, Microsoft, will join the U.S. Department of Justice’s top economist, Bloomberg reports. From 2007 to 2013, Ati consulted with Microsoft, and her knowledge includes extensive data analysis, anti-trust and policy on Internet search and online advertising. Her efforts to control the technology giant have included anti-trust scans on Google.
Ati joined the Justice Department as he prepared to sue Google and investigate Apple. According to Bloomberg, she may have avoided these issues because of her previous work, which includes working as an anti-terrorism expert on Apple.
AT’s move comes as the US Federal Trade Commission and other regulators investigate plans to buy Microsoft Video Game Activities Bliss. Amazon is facing anti-Semitism investigations in the US, UK and EU.
Ati recently resigned from the board of directors of Expedia and announced plans to leave Seattle Pets in August.
– Jodi Bailey, former director of software development at Amazon, became Stack Overflow’s chief technology officer.
Bailey spent more than three years at AWS and was previously head of technology at PlumSite. He also held senior management positions at AtTask, Vovici, VeriSign and Vastera.
Bailey, in Seattle, leads Product Engineering, Platform Engineering, Data Security and IT teams at Stack Overflow, Developer Source. The company raised $ 85 million in a series of rolls in July 2020.
