Orlando, Fla. – Lorena Pages has gone from working in the fashion design industry to becoming a full-time social media content creator – creating funny videos using her cats. She also uses her Hispanic heritage to give her content an extra twist and laughs.

Pages is known on social media for her humor and funny voices. Her cat Tokio stars in several of her videos. In the year In 2019, the Venezuelan native entered the world of social media, initially as a hobby, she said.
“I’ve always loved creating comedy content just for me and my friends. I was a little shy about posting it online,” she said.
Interestingly, Lorena’s joke caught the attention of social media users.
I spent a lot of time with my cats during quarantine, so I felt they had a lot to say, so I started giving voices or sharing what I thought were their thoughts or opinions, and then people started. Using those audios,” she says.
She remembers in independent times, laundry was reserved for many and that is how one of the most used audios came to life, being used by thousands. One user got millions of views.
“For a moment I was like, ‘Oh, maybe this is going to be a fun viral Tik Tok audio.’ I didn’t think it would go global,” she recalls.
Lorena’s comedic talent goes back to her childhood.
“I grew up with a mother who was always kind – she always tried to laugh – like everything, even if we had issues, that’s how we liked to deal with everything,” she said.
Lorena moved with her family from Venezuela to South Florida when she was 7 years old and started making videos with a friend.
“It was interesting for both of us to see it like our cultural differences and our language barriers and customs,” she said. “We started making videos together because I had a language barrier so we could laugh a lot.”
Despite having more than 1.3 million followers on Tik Tok and 241,000 followers on Instagram, Lorena says her loved ones remain rooted.
“I guess like followers or something like that because my family and friends have realized that nothing will change for sure. It’s kind of nice to know that people are enjoying it,” she says.
She is proud of her heritage and her ability to unite different cultures with laughter.
“I like it, I like to share a different culture and I get to meet a lot of Americans and they are more understanding of our views or our problems and we can all relate. Just kidding,” she said. “For me, I think every month is Hispanic Heritage Month, right? Because I live it every day.”
