Five Jackets Made GCAA All-Region Golf Team – Men’s Golf – Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Norman, Okla – The five starters for 11Th-Georgia Tech Golf Team Rankings – Seniors Bartley Forster, Connor Howe And Ross StillmanJr Christo Lamprecht and primary Hiroshi Tai – Named to the Ping All-East Region team as selected by the American Golf Coaches Association. The GCAA announced the selection of the best college players in six regions (the top 25 players in each region).

Five of Tech’s players are on the East Regional’s 25-player roster, including No. 2 North Carolina, four of which are on the team. Only Vanderbilt (Southeast), Illinois (Midwest) and Arizona State (West) placed five players in their respective regions.

Howe, Lamprecht and Stillman made the All-Atlantic Coast Conference team earlier this month. All five players are ranked among the top 100 players nationally by either the Golfstat rankings or the Golfweek/Sagarin index, with Lamprecht, Stillman and Howe listed in the top 40 in both rankings.

The quintet was the centerpiece of the 2023 ACC Championship-winning Yellow Jackets team that beat Wake Forest in the championship game and defeated Duke in the semifinals to win the 54-hole stroke play portion of the championship by 16 strokes. They also captured the NCAA Salem Regional in record fashion, posting a 53-under-par score to win the regional by eight strokes. Tech finished first in five other events, including three this spring. The five combined for 20 top-10 finishes.

The Yellow Jackets will compete in the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship this weekend at Greyhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
