OAKLAND, CA – For Zuo Modern’s entries into the Las Vegas market, the company is looking first at fashion. “We like to think of ourselves as both a fashion company and a furniture company,” says Louis Rusga, president of Zoo.

Rusga explains that the current “direction” for Zoo Modern is less modern than industrial and more “patrician chic.” Every day.” Retailers can expect to see many of these combinations in the company’s sofas, dining chairs and occasional furniture.

According to Rusga, everything available at the High Point or Las Vegas market is available. The company constantly creates new features and does not use markets as “experimental” prototypes. “We don’t have a space problem. We have new releases for Vegas and a new collection for October, and these new styles can’t wait,” Rusga said.

Zuo Modern has partnered with the largest mattress manufacturer in the Dominican Republic on its own foam factory. “This is the most important part of the sofa, so we choose the foam and the fabric, the legs, etc. and ship them directly from the US wholesaler,” says Rusga.

For Zuo Modern, it’s about fabric, texture and durability. According to Rusga, the company’s customers are all looking for better ways to clean their laundry, making performance a must. The sets on display in Las Vegas come from the Dominican Republic and can be produced faster than those from Asia.

“Since this is a new venture in the Dominican Republic, we went with the most reliable frames online and dressed them in current fabrics and fashions. We’re still growing our factory there and making more shapes, but right now we’re focusing on classic modern shapes,” said Rusga.

According to Rusga, green is resonating with customers, adding, “It’s not going to be the color of the year, but people are very excited about green right now.” White has been dead for years and is now becoming a very important color on the business side, especially in performance clothing, so it’s easy to clean.

In addition, vegan leather is positively accepted by customers with its cleanliness, and Rusga has the added benefit of not having to worry about bacteria in a commercial environment.

In terms of metal fashion, Rusga says, “A lot of people are looking at a black finish on metal — less gold and more black. Many of our new entries have a black finish with gold. Gold is not completely gone, but it is slowly disappearing.
