Erling Haaland has a firm grip on the Golden Boot, now sitting seven goals clear of Harry Kane, who has 23 to his name. Even more impressive, the youngster has scored 44 goals for City in all competitions. If there were any doubts about Haaland taking time to adapt to England’s style of play, they were quickly put to rest when he arrived last fall.
Many believe the 22-year-old could be the missing piece in City’s Champions League ambitions. He managed to score 10 goals in six games in the most expensive competition in Europe.
With another three points on Saturday, Pep Guardiola’s men sit five points clear of Arsenal at the top with a game in hand. The Gunners play Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
As for Erling Haaland, he will look to maintain his lethal ways when City lock horns with Bayern Munich at Germany’s Allianz Arena on Tuesday.
