‘Emily In Paris’ Filming Locations: Travel Guide

I couldn’t be happier with this Emily in Paris It returned for season 3 on December 21st. Maybe it’s because Paris is my absolute favorite city on the planet or because Emily has the perfect style, but the show makes me sad! So, on my last trip to Paris, I indulged in Emily’s lifestyle and visited a series of famous (and not-so-famous) spots from the Emmy Award-nominated series. I have also found some places They didn’t. It served as a backdrop for the show – yet – but it would make complete sense in Emily’s world. If you plan to Emily in Paris– Vacation Inspiration, I have a lot of travel tips for you.

I had some Parisian friends show me around – my own versions of Mindy and Gabriel – and I’ve passed their advice on to you. From Emily and Mindy’s current hangouts to the shops Emily frequents on her lunch break, here’s where to stay, what to do, and where to eat and drink while in Paris.

Where to stay during your season Emily in Paris –An inspirational journey

I was invited to stay at the Hotel Marignan Champs-Elysées, in the central eighth arrondissement, close to many of the film’s filming locations. (It’s a short walk from both the Roxy, the restaurant and music venue where Mindy sang Chandelier, and the Pont Alexandre III, the bridge Emily chose as the backdrop for her commercial shoot in Season 1.) I stayed in the Eiffel Luxury Suite, and my room had a wooden ceiling that sparkled all night long. It had a terrace. Rooms start at $500 per night.

I loved staying at the Canopy by Hilton Paris Trocadero in the First Arrondissement. It is a vibrant 123-room hotel featuring 1930s architecture and touches of modern Parisian elegance. It partners with the nearby, award-winning Frédéric Lalos bakery to offer Emily’s favorite treats or chocolates, as well as freshly baked breads, croissants and more. It’s near the Plaza de Valois, where Emilie works at the (fictional) marketing agency Savoir, as well as the Jardin du Palais Royal, where she first meets Mindy. Rooms start at $343 per night.

If you’re looking for more Alfie vibes than Emily vibes, check out the Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel Hotel. Although it’s not in La Défense (although its neighborhood doesn’t have much of a road to shelter), it’s a 15-minute drive. Like Alfie’s apartment, the modern skyscraper offers views of the Seine River and the entire city, including the tallest buildings in the business district. It is also home to Skybar, the highest open-air rooftop bar and restaurant in Paris, with stunning, unobstructed views of the Eiffel Tower, Pantheon, Montparnasse Tower and the Luxembourg Gardens. It is known for its champagne cocktails reminiscent of the Champer Champagne launch that Emily created. Rooms start at $361 per night.

Emily in Paris– Inspirational things to do

The Parisian I met there (my copy of Gabriel) took me to the Montmartre neighborhood, where Emily often met Mindy in front of the famous Catholic church, the Sacro-Cour. The basilica is the highest point in Paris, which makes it ideal for watching the sunset. The area is surrounded by street artists and souvenir shops.

A quick walk will then take you to the Moulin Rouge, the famous cabaret that Emily and Mindy go to after strolling around the Sacré-Cœur. This typical location has made the can popular. The bright red building is meant to stand out and be seen from all directions, so it has a large windmill on top. Watching the dancers perform in stunning costumes with rhinestones and glitter is part of the true Parisian experience.

The next day I went to Père Lachaise, the city’s largest park and largest cemetery. The Gothic tombs and cemeteries created in the 19th century make it a perfect place for a scenic walk. Oscar Wilde and Jim Morrison are buried here. In Season 2, Emily goes here for a birthday lunch with her co-worker Luke.

For all the shopaholics out there, head to La Samaritain, a luxury store on the banks of the Seine. Emily goes there with her classmate Petra on a Chapter 2 shopping trip.

Where to eat and drink in Paris

Remember the restaurant where Mindy and her band ended the Season 2 finale? That scene was shot at Shang Palace, a Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant. I ate there with my Parisian girlfriend (my version of Mindy). The restaurant is in the Shangri-La Paris hotel and has magnificent chandeliers. The exception is char siu bao, a Cantonese-style bun topped with delicious grilled pork. I loved the dumplings and the amazing shrimp roll.

While Gabriel’s restaurant Les Deux Compères is novel, you can visit the neo-bistro Les Parisiennes at the Hotel Pavillon Faubourg Saint Germain for a similar experience. I had the veal risotto for lunch and the fish with seasonal vegetables for dinner.

Since the Four Seasons Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat in St. Tropez plays a big part in Season 2 of Emily, Mindy and Camille’s Girls’ Journey, I went to the Four Seasons Hotel George V to get a taste. The beauty of the brand. I had a cocktail made with vodka, champagne, hibiscus syrup and elderflower foam, surrounded by stunning woodwork and fabulous jewelry. I had enough of following Emily’s “It Girl” lifestyle before returning to my normal life.
