Has your green suit been chosen yet? We hope so, we don’t want you to get pinched! Tomorrow, officially St. Patrick’s Day, you may be ready to snack on corned beef sandwiches. We’ve rounded up 26 of the best in Chicagoland to help you out. Or, if you’re setting your sights on a trip to the Emerald Isle, a solo travel diary near Dublin might inspire you to walk along the cliff’s edge.

Although the skies have been gray lately, brighter days are ahead. Some exciting summer lineups have been announced, including headliners at Navy Pier’s Chi-Soul Fest and Ravinia Festival. Meanwhile, this month on stage at the Goodman Theater, “Layalina” for “Ted Lasso” is now back for Season 3, and we have it for everyone else to enjoy at home.

Not only is Texas-style BBQ gaining ground across the US, it’s also big in the Middle East. Meat Moot Smoking, a turkey chain that recently opened its first location in the American suburb of Burbank, features the global influence of Texas barbecue. The restaurant is halal certified, the meats come with a special blend of spices and the chefs prepare the meat with a wonderful salt bay, Turkish chef Nusret Gokce. Coming off a commercial for the blockbuster “Creed III,” Tribune critic Michael Phillips looks at classic boxing movies, including the 1950 Tribune-produced “Golden Gloves,” a little-known and hard-to-find film. History. Read more here.

From Irish American pubs to new-school delis to black-owned businesses, Chicago is a city that takes corned beef sandwiches seriously. But the unthinkable happened when Corned Beef quietly disappeared for almost a year at Stingold’s in Wrigleyville. Tribune critic Louisa Chu interviewed Steingold’s owners about how they brought back the signature St. Paddy’s sandwich and how they listed the 25 best in the area.

The popular Apple TV+ comedy “Ted Lasso” is back for its third season and this time with longer episodes. However, Tribune critic Nina Metz wrote that “the driving dynamics and the show’s signature tone are out of balance.” Read part of her review for the new season here.

Lucy’s Barbecue Texas-style barbecue is served at Brewfest in Northwest Indiana. If you go, “any order should include the black-pepper-grilled brisket, which is so tender and salty you can pull your fingers through the meat,” writes Tribune critic Nick Kindlesperger. Owner Nick Cleusch, like many other Texas-style barbecuers in Chicagoland, was inspired by pitmasters he met in the Lone Star State. Read about his barbecue journey here.

“Layalina” is a multi-generational immigrant family drama by Martin Youssef Zebari, now at the Goodman Theatre. The first act is set in March 2003 in Baghdad, the second act is set in 2020 on Church Street in Skiki. Tribune critic Chris Jones wrote that the show “has a rich sense of close family, both in Baghdad and in Skiki.” But while the first half was strong, the second needed more structure and clarity in the narrative arc. In his new memoir, “A Troubled Few Days: Revelations on the Journey to Justice for My Relative and Best Friend, Emmett Till,” Parker explores the legacy of the crime that changed his life. After the gray and cold weather finally leaves, all the fun and excitement of summer in Chicago officially begins. The biggest change this year is that Taste of Chicago will have three preview events in Chicago neighborhoods over the summer and then take place in Grant Park September 8-10. Also in June are the Chicago Blues Festival at Millennium Park, the Chicago Air and Water Show August 19-20, and the Chicago Jazz Festival at the end of the summer. Read more here.
