Dove Cameron says that the best fashion designers compete with the greatest “composers” because they are “masters of another world”.
The 27-year-old actress and singer collaborated with designer Wes Gordon for Carolina Herrera’s spring/summer 2023 collection and she was blown away by his “magical” talent.
Dove, who approached Wes after inviting her to be his Plus One at the 2021 CDFA – told ALL.com – “It’s such a dream come true when you’re friends with a visual designer who’s at the helm of an iconic image.” Fashion house.
“I look at fashion designers and photographers the same way I look at composers. [They’re] People who do the most magical and otherworldly things. They are wise. I will wash it [Gordon] Every time I’m with him. I was like, ‘Hey! Let me put it to your mind, thank you!’

She explained: “When you step into a role like this on set, you feel like you’re living in this fantasy land.
“Elizaveta and her vision was a very different world, I felt very free to experiment, I felt very beautiful.”
“I was jumping, twirling, and dancing, and laughing to get those shots. I feel like there’s a lot of looseness, strength, femininity, and courage to Wes’ designs, and I really wanted to bring that into the shoot. Each outfit told a different story, and within that story, a character.” I think it’s natural for the character to feel like he lives in those moments.
