January 4, 2023: Tommy Hilfiger 2022 Tommy Hilfiger Fashion Frontier Challenge Announces Five Finalists, Selected from 259 applicants from international start-ups to qualifications. For the fourth edition of the program, historically marginalized entrepreneurs – including Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), individuals with disabilities and women – are helping to advance their communities by building a more inclusive fashion industry. Finalists include Care+Wear, IDA Sports, Koalaa, Tactus and Moner Bondhu. Last month, the five finalists worked with experts from Tommy Hilfiger’s global headquarters in Amsterdam to develop practical solutions to their biggest challenges. In the final phase of the program, they will each present their business ideas on February 9 to a judging panel that includes Mr. Hilfiger, CEO Martin Hagmann and activist Halima Aden. A prize of €200,000 will be split between the top two winners and will support their work. Another 15,000 euros will be awarded to the “audience favorite” chosen by the Tommy Hilfiger partners.

December 28, 2022: Plan International Canada He announced that he was selected as a non-profit partner Uniqlo “Peace for all” initiative. With the partnership, the organization, which focuses on advancing children’s rights and women’s equality, said it will match donations from customers of up to 5,000 Canadian dollars (about $3,676 at the current exchange rate) from December 30 to January 13, 2023. The matching donation campaign, the organization said in a statement, will raise funds for the “Young Leaders in Canada” Grant of Hope to “unite young people of all backgrounds as the next generation of global leaders.” Customers can donate to Plan International Canada at the checkout of all Uniqlo stores in Canada and online.
December 23, 2022: DTLR He announced that over the past few weeks, he has collected over 30,000 toys across all of his stores. The toys, according to DTLR, are donated to more than 150 nonprofits, schools and community centers. DTRL said stores have identified hundreds of local organizations that help distribute toys to local communities.
December 20, 2022: Academy Sports + Away announced that it has donated more than $250,000 to local communities this holiday season. To give back to thousands and surprise hundreds of shoppers, Academy activated more than 50 holiday shopping events during the month of December at each of its 268 stores with its annual “Traveling Santa” initiative. With the annual “Traveling Santa” initiative, customers are surprised when they complete their holiday shopping by paying for their holiday gifts. The company’s philanthropic events include in-store shopping activities, bicycle donations and other restoration efforts in 50 communities.
