Africa is a young, fast-growing and most dynamic economy in the world, poised to become the future engine of global economic growth. But will the world be ready to do business in Africa? Dr. Carla Jones of Sam Houston State University and a former Templeton colleague; Mrs. D. Yvonne Rivers, International Business Consultant and Leadership Coach; Dr. Fred Olayele, Executive Director, Pan African School of Policy Innovation; And Mr. Ned Rauch-Manino, former Deputy Assistant Secretary at the United States Department of Commerce, will share his experience and expertise with the FPRI Africa Program Chair, Charles Ray, on the complexities of business on the continent, with a focus on Kenya. One of the fastest growing economies in Africa.

Carla D. Jones – Carla D. Jones is a Templeton Fellow in FPRI’s Africa Program and an associate professor in the Department of Management, Marketing and IS at Sam Houston State University’s College of Business.
Ned Rauch-Mannino Ned Rauch-Manino is a former senior U.S. official at the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. Agency for International Development, where he served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Operations and Senior Advisor for Global Markets to support U.S. trade diplomacy globally.
Fred Olayele – Dr. Fred Olayele’s diverse expertise includes education, government, finance and international development. He previously served as Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of the New York City Economic Development Corporation.
Yvonne Rivers – Yvonne Rivers has been principal of Phoebe Marketing Group since 1997, a business development, marketing and training firm serving globally and headquartered in Washington, DC.
Charles A. Ray – Charles A. Ray, board member and chair of the Africa Program at the Institute for Foreign Policy Research, served as the US ambassador to Cambodia and the Republic of Zimbabwe.
