According to the FBI’s Internet Complaint Center, cyber-attacks are a large and growing business.
But foreign invasion is even more dangerous than the US cyber invasion.
A.D. By 2021, US businesses will lose $ 6.7 billion to cybercriminals, malware, data theft, and identity theft and cryptocurrencies. Companies have introduced new cyber security policies, invested more in protecting their digital data, and hired more cybersecurity experts. The demand for skills in this area is so high that there are 3.5 million unfinished jobs.
Big companies like Apple, Google, and Amazon know how to protect their cyberspace, but 31.7 million small businesses in the United States, like most companies in New Mexico, are powerless because they are out of business. Tech-savvy cybercriminals who can change their speed and tactics overnight.
Even more serious is the damage that cyber attacks are doing to the country. A.D. Russia will continue to intensify its attacks on US democracy and trade by attacking thousands of American companies and institutions during the 2016 and 2020 US presidential elections.
In this regard, there is an urgent need for the US to pay close attention to Russia and the rest of the world.
First, the US must fully accept that cyber warfare is no less dangerous than the Cold War. In fact, they may be more sinful because they are so quiet.
Second, it must mobilize its technological forces – including the Internet private industry and national laboratories such as Sandia and Los Alamos – to stop future Russian attacks. Such an effort may be premature, but it must be given a broad and necessary urgency.
Third, the United States must retaliate against Russian cyber warfare. Fourth, the US must take revenge and intervene in the actions of the Russian community and its foreign policy – bytes.
Finally, in order to stop cyber-attacks, the United States must consider forming alliances with other countries that are digitally invaded by Russia.
To achieve all of this, American efforts must be well-organized and led. Not now. There are so many federal participants – for example, the Cyber Security and Infrastructure Security Agency, the Department of Defense, the Central Intelligence Agency, the National Security Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation – it is difficult to know who is on board.
Without a strong, well-organized and well-supported response to the ongoing Russian invasion, Russia will win the new Cold War on cyberspace and dominate the world stage.
