Columbia, SC (WIS) – Two Columbia businesses were surprised Tuesday afternoon with technology upgrades and game tickets.
In late July, the Carolina Panthers announced the return of the Carolina Panthers. The grant aims to help small businesses with grants and technology packages.
The football franchise is partnering with Lenovo to offer a $5,000 technology upgrade package and preseason tickets to the Panthers’ game against the Buffalo Bills. More than 650 businesses entered this year.
Two Colombian businesses were selected as winners in this competition; Kasania’s Caring Hands and Uptown Gifts at Main.
LaShaunda Glover, owner of Kasania’s Caring Hand, was presented with her award by former Panthers player Dwight Stone. The business is a home care service that helps the elderly or disabled. They help with day-to-day tasks such as shipping and handling.
In addition to receiving the upgrade package, all 10 winners from the region will also receive recognition during the preliminaries. One in 10 will receive a $100,000 advertising package with a franchise during the NFL season.
