Coffee City, Texas (KLTV) – The Coffee City Council has filed a lawsuit seeking to hold meetings.

Alderman Ray Over Hey filed a copy of KLTV’s complaint.

The complaint was filed with the district secretary’s office in Henderson County.

The petition allows the city council to conduct business with the remaining two elders and the mayor or to appoint a third commander, which is sufficient to establish a quorum.

The last three city council meetings were not held due to a lack of members to form the quorum.

Councilors call for the resignation of Mayor Frank Serato Ver-Hay after a dispute with Serato over the use of a WiFi fund by using the city fund.

With Ver Hee, Riley Standdifer and Kevin Swanson left town council.

Ver Hey said after meeting with his lawyer he would decide on the next step.
