Houghton, Mich – Michigan Tech Athletics has hired Greg Christopher as director of video production and operations. In his new role, Christopher oversees live broadcasts of Tech sports events and serves as the departmental liaison to the university’s IT department.
“We are thrilled to have Greg join the Michigan Tech athletics and recreation team,” said Senior Associate Athletic Director Joel Isaacson. “With his experience and expertise, we look forward to taking our video board and web streaming production to the next level.”
“It is a privilege and an honor to join the Husky family,” said Christopher. “I look forward to the continued growth of the Michigan Tech Husky brand nationally, and I’m excited to be a part of it.”
A native of Romulus, Michigan, Christopher comes to Tech after 11 years at Florida State with extensive live and video production experience and was the Seminoles’ producer and media manager. He was an executive producer for the award-winning television programs The Bobby Bowden Show, The Jimbo Fisher Show, and The Mike Martin Show. He was a producer, director and control room employee for football, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, tennis and other FSU sports. He oversaw DVSport replays of FSU football games as the Atlantic Coast Conference replay technician and developed deep relationships with ESPN and Turner Sports.
Throughout his professional career, Christopher served as an anchor and reporter at KTWO-TV in Wyoming and worked as a freelance replay operator and editor of industrial and safety films.
Christopher holds a bachelor’s degree in history as well as a degree in communications, both from Florida State.
