Cancun is calling again.

TripAdvisor released its Fall Travel Index this week and the verdict is that Mexico is No. 1 for US travelers this year, with Cancun the top destination for 2022.

While Cancun broke records for international arrivals at the time of the outbreak, things don’t seem to be slowing down for Cancun. With pristine beaches, plenty of all-inclusive vacation opportunities, tons of festivals, great food, a huge party scene, and more, tourists can’t seem to get enough of Cancun.

In this article We’ll see what to expect when we visit Cancun in the fall of 2022..

Fall is the perfect season to travel to Cancun.

Visiting Cancun during the fall months (October to December) means you’ll escape the intense heat (well, more intense than usual) of the summer months. Instead, they are treated to evening breezes and mild morning temperatures.

Be aware that October is typically the tail end of hurricane season, which is at the end of August and September, so you may experience less rain or storms.

October marks the end of the ‘Sargassum season’

One of the biggest environmental issues in the Caribbean in recent years has been the large amount of sargassum that has been showing up on beaches in and around Cancun.

If you’re visiting Cancun this fall, you won’t have to worry too much about it. Peak sargassum season (usually) starts in March and lasts until September, so you can expect sargassum-free beaches on your trip to Cancun in October.

According to some of the most extensive studies on the subject, sargassum appears to be the result of many factors, including increased water temperatures and oversaturated waters.

All inclusive that integrates you

Cancun’s magnificent ‘Hotel Zone’ and its surroundings are where you’ll find some of the world’s top-class beaches. And, it’s also where you can pamper yourself at some of Mexico’s most stylish all-inclusive resorts.

Large hotel chains have been adding new all-inclusive hotels to the area over the past few years, so luxury vacationers will certainly not go hungry when it comes to choosing their perfect vacation spot.

All-inclusive resorts in Cancun to look forward to include Hotel Riu Palace Kukulkan and Hotel Riu Latino, which open to guests this fall. These resorts are located in some of Cancun’s most exclusive locations, so you only share these amazing private beach views with other hotel guests.

Festivals are coming to Cancun for fall 2022.

The much-anticipated annual Just for Laughs Escapes festival in Cancun is set for the first week of November, so get ready for three full days of comedy in paradise.

Festival goers can chill by the pool watching one of the daytime shows, catch some of their favorite comedians at the Kukulkan Theater and dance the night away at after-hours beach parties. Headliners and producers include Craig Robinson, Pete Holmes, Rachel Feinstein, Annie Lederman and Jeff Ross.

What to do in the Riviera Maya: Day Trips Galore

Cancun is the beginning of the beautiful Mayan Riviera.

From Cancun’s hotel zone, to Playa del Carmen, Akumal and beyond, this land is not only filled with powdery, white-sand beaches and turquoise waters, but also an unforgettable vacation with plenty of day trips and excursions.

If you’re looking for some excursions, start at the museum, where you can dive into the underwater conservation museum, sculptures and some of the local marine life. Or, you can opt for a local glass-bottom boat tour!

MUSA is one of the many tours you can book on your trip to Cancun. There are also cenotes, historic ruins from the Mayan Empire, scuba diving in Cozumel and boat tours to nearby beautiful islands.

With so much to see and do, what’s not to love about Cancun?
